How to choose correct eyeshadow (for beginners)

Hello girls,

As a beginner in makeup we face a lot of problems while buying makeup. Eyeshadow is one of the essential item in a makeup kit. Finding a good eyeshadow is one of the difficult task especially when you don't want to burn a hole in your wallet. Here are some tips and tricks that will help you to choose correct eyeshadow.

Tip 1: Choose the eyeshadow/colours that suits you.

If you are beginner in makeup, don't go for the crazy colours that doesn't suits you. Choose the colour that will help you to enhance your eye makeup and eye features.

Tip 2: Pigmentation

Pigmentation is very important while buying eyeshadow. If the eyeshadow is not pigmented then you have to apply many layers of the shadow to get the perfect colour. If you have a pigmented shadow then you will get the desired eye makeup in less time and less effort. Also the application will become more easier.

Tip 3: Smoothness

One of the important things to check is the smoothness of the shadows/colours. If a shadow is not smooth then it will feel heavy on eyes. If the colours are smooth then blending will be more easier.Blending is very important in eyemakeup especially if you are using many colours.

Tip 3: Don't go for colours having chalky texture.

The shadows having chalky texture will not look good on eyes. Also the chalky shadows have lot of fallouts which is not good and if you apply foundation before eyemakeup then fallout will double the effort to clean it.

Tip 4: palette or single eyeshadow.

this thing totally depends on you whether you like shadow palette or single shadow. I prefer buying palette over single eyeshadow because

* it has all the colours in a single palette.

* cost efficient

*you don't have to carry bunch of eyeshadows while travelling.

Tip 5:

This is not actually a tip but i would recommend buying eyeshadow palette having neutrals colours. Neutral colours suits everyone and it is a must have in a makeup kit.

I have Maybelline Diamond Glow Eye Shadow in the shade 001_copperbrown( price Rs.495). It has 4 colours and all the colours are super smooth and pigmented.
