Lotus Colorkick Kajal Review

Hello everyone,

Kajal or kohl is one of the essential item in a makeup kit.A little bit of kajal can easily change your look.I was looking for retractable kajal because it is much easier to use.I saw lotus herbals colorkick kajal and the price was quite afforable.I recently bought this kajal from nykaa.com. This kajal had mixed reviews on the site, so i decided to review it and check put whether this kajal deserves a place in a makeup kit or not.

What the product claims?

An extreme, deep black pigmented, smudge proof formula enriched with botanical extracts of almond oil. The one glide application makes it easy to use without any flakiness and stays perfect for 8 hrs without any smudge.

About the packaging:

The product comes in a beautiful pink cardboard packaging. The details of the product, price and three ideas on how to get the look is given on the back. This kajal is retractable kajal so it is easy to use. It is lightweight and quite handy.

Price: Rs 199/- for 0.28g (net wt.)

I really like the pigmentation of the kajal. When i swatched it, i was really impressed. It came out to be perfect jet black . Also the texture is very smooth and creamy,so it glides very smoothly. I also did a water test to see whether this kajal is waterproof or not. I kept my hand under running water and rubbed my hands 2-3 times.I was really amazed by the results

You will find this thing wierd but when i applied this kajal on my waterline it didn't came up to be jet black. I will put a picture down below to show how it looks on my eyes.It works better when it is used as an eyeliner.

This kajal also claims that it stays upto 8 hours.So I tested out whether it stays or not. Upto 4-5 hours it stayed really well but after that it got little faded.

What i like about this kajal:

• glides very smoothly

• Jet black in colour

• works good as an eyeliner

• waterproof

• smudge proof upto 4-5 hours

• contains botanical extracts of almond oil

• affordable

what i don't like about this kajal:

• doesn't show up the colour on the waterline

• ingredient list is not mentioned on the packaging.

• Doesn't lasts upto 8 hours.

To buy or not to buy: Not to buy

This kajal would be better used as an eyeliner.This kajal would be great for the beginner who face problem while applying eyeliner.Frankly speaking, this kajal is very average product when it comes to performance. But a good product when it comes to texture.At this price you can get more better kajal available in the market.
